Bus
Puri contains two kinds of buses with available services: local and luxury. Local buses travel the main streets and stop at every other destination, which can make your trip down the street quite lengthy. Luxury buses are a tad more expensive, but provide extra comfort and space, as well as specific schedules designated for touring the city.
Auto rickshaw
Auto rickshaws and cycle rickshaws are common methods of transportation as they are the fastest ways to move around the city, as well as being inexpensive, pollution free and traffic free options. Local sightseeing with the use of a cycle rickshaw makes for a very authentic experience.
If you would like to hire an auto rickshaw or cycle rickshaw for the day, be advised that Puri’s rickshaw services have no fixed rates and must be bargained and negotiated.
